Care Groups
Care Groups are small groups of people who meet in the private homes of members of the church.
We may worship the Lord in a church service but it’s hard to get to know one another in a large crowd. Also, merely hearing the sermon is not sufficient to produce fruit in our lives
Care Groups offer a relaxed environment (typically with refreshments) where the group will review the prior Sunday’s sermon message, ask questions, participate in discussions of the text, and hear one another’s insights and illustrations of the truths they are trying to grasp.
God has made us dependent on each other, and Care Groups provide a context where we can minister to each other with the gifts that God has given us. Meetings include times of prayer for one another’s needs. No one is pressured to pray, but as all may join in as they become comfortable doing so. In praying together with a few others, we are drawn together and we find answers and encouragement concerning the needs in our lives.
Care Groups provide a place where we can build great friendships, care for one another, and help each other grow in our relationship with God. Many people who have been part of a group say the greatest benefits of being part of a group are the close friendships that develop.
