Worship Gatherings At New Life Assembly of God
God created worship for his own pleasure, though we happen to be blessed to be able to benefit by receiving joy, peace, and fulfillment when we worship Him. I love the verse in John 4:23 that states, “Yet a time is coming and has come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit and His worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth.” True worship is when your soul & heart connect with our Living God, when you are in love with Him. It is the elaborate love towards God.
To me, worship means adoration and homage paid to God, not just because He died on the cross for us but because He is the Alpha & Omega, Sovereign One, The Great Shepherd, The Creator of the World and much more. He deserves to be acknowledged in every situation in our lives. Worship should be incorporated into the life and heart of every follower of Christ who desires to give back to their King. “Give thanks unto the Lord for He is good his love endures forever.” (Psalms 136)
Here are some of the ways to open up our hearts to the Living God through worship at New Life:
Singing: Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.(Psalm 47:6)
Kneeling: O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. (Psalm 95:6)
Dancing: Let them praise his name in the dance: (Psalm 149:3)
Clapping: O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. (Psalm 47:1)
Praying: Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. (Mark 13:33)
Playing Instruments: Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. (Psalm 150:4)
Come and lift high the name of Jesus Christ. “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere. “ Psalm 84:10
